Swing Hammers/Beaters and Beater bars
High-performance swing hammer mill beaters and beater bars.
What is a Swing Hammer?
Swing hammers are a type of hammers used in hammer mills for various grinding and pulverizing applications.
They are attached to the rotor of the hammer mill and swing outward as the rotor rotates, striking the feed material and causing it to break apart.
Swing hammers are commonly used in the following industries:
Swing Hammer Manufacturing
Manufactured from a large stock of heavy-section alloy steel, our swing hammers and beaters are through-hardened to give optimum wear life in use.
These swing hammers are normally produced as custom items and are developed in close liaison with the user.
Custom Made-to-Order Swing Hammers
Heavy swing hammers are normally manufactured to order. However, we do stock hammers for some popular industrial pulverisers and hammer mills such as Christy Turner and Bühler.
When selecting swing hammers for a hammer mill, it’s important to consider factors such as the type of material to be processed, desired particle size, and throughput requirements.
In addition to the swing hammers, we also manufacture the associated beater bars and other spares. These can be manufactured in standard mild steel or induction hardened to suit your application.
